Pascale De Groote

Pascale De Groote was appointed as vice-chancellor of the Artesis University College in Antwerp, Belgium in January 2012. She has been Dean of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (Artesis University College of Antwerp) since 2001; as well as being a lecturer of Dance History in the University of Antwerp. She has been active in the field of Quality Assurance since 1999, first as co-ordinator Quality Assurance of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (until 2002), as inspector for ‘Dance’ in secondary education (2003-2010) and since 2004 as chairman or member of expert committees for review visits for bachelor and master programmes in dance, drama, music and related subjects (19 programmes in Belgium, the Netherlands, Estonia, Austria, and Switzerland). Pascale De Groote is a frequent member (or chairperson) of the board of directors of institutions active in arts, artistic research or art education (e.g. Studiecentrum voor Vlaamse Muziek, deFilharmonie, Antwerpen Open) and committees concerning educational matters in all levels of the art education in Flanders.
