Joaquim Ramos de Carvalho

Joaquim Ramos de Carvalho is the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor at the Department of History, Archaeology and Arts of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra and member of the Centre for 20th Century Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS20) of the same university. He has been actively involved in several activities concerning academic internationalisation, namely the ALISIOS Project, the “Tuning Educational Structures” project and the TEEP project regarding the international dimension of the quality assurance processes. He was part of the Mission Group for the European Higher Education Area of the University of Coimbra (GE3S) and had the role of ECTS counsellor, within the frame of the European Commission body of ECTS experts. He was also a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Excellence Network “ (6th European Framework Programme), and he has participated in several activities of the Coimbra Group, of the Erasmus Mundus and Tempus Programmes and in Marie Curie Actions.
