Aleksandr Apanasenok is Doctor of History, Professor, specialist in the area of religious history of Eastern Europe and in the field of organization of Humanities research. Aleksandr Apanasenok is a graduate of Kursk State University. In 2002-2013 – assistant, senior lecturer, professor and Head of the Department of History and Socio-Cultural Service in South-West State University (Russia, Kursk). Since 2013 till present – Vice-rector on Science and International relations in Regional Open Social Institute (Russia, Kursk). Expert of Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation, the academic editor of the journal “Provincial Scientific Proceedings”. During 2002-2015 has been involved in various research programmes in Russia and abroad.
