Key objectives in the work programme, as a result of the Lisbon Convention, are stated as “to open up education and training system to the wider world”, and “to develop the spirit of enterprise”.
In this context EURASHE proposes to work out a comparative study on how professional higher education institutions in the 30 eligible countries of the Socrates programme contribute by the nature of their professionally oriented education and training – theory, practice, placements and mobility – to promote sustainable entrepreneurship, especially of SMEs. Such a comparative study will focus on a comparison of the contents of the curricula on the one hand and on the way in which practice, (European) placements and European cooperation and mobility between institutions and or enterprises and organisations involving both students and lecturers can contribute to enhance sustainable entrepreneurship.
